A vision to change the way you spray

The Goldacres brand has been established over more than a quarter of a century, supplying Australian farmers with quality, innovative and technologically advanced spraying equipment. The vision has always been to provide spraying equipment which allows you to change the way you spray.

Ground breaking technology such as Direct Chemical Injection (DCI), Ultraglide, SmartSteer, TriTech boom suspension and aluminium boom wings have changed the way you apply chemicals - these innovations have all been introduced in response to the requests of our customers.

Goldacres operates from two factories in regional Victoria. The Ballarat site is head office and production facility for the large trailing and self propelled sprayer range. The 13 acre site has recently undergone a major factory expansion which now includes over 5000 square metres of production space.

The St Arnaud facility, 130km North West of Ballarat, is where the company was founded and is home to the Pathway range which includes sprayers up to 2500 Lt. Since producing the first sprayer from this site over 30 years ago the building has undergone many expansions and is now spread over 2000 square metres.

The Goldacres sprayer range is sold, serviced and supported nationally by over 80 dealers. Goldacres not only produce Australia's finest range of spraying equipment - we value the relationship with the owners of our equipment. We look forward to having you as a Goldacres owner and changing the way you spray.

LODDON SHIRE

The Loddon Shire covers an area of approximately 6,700 square kilometres making it the seventh largest municipality (in area) in Victoria. The Shire’s population is approximately 8,600. The municipality is characterised by a number of small towns dispersed throughout the area.

Wineries, historic and natural attractions compliment the area, including the towns of Bridgewater, Inglewood, Wedderburn, Dingee, Serpentine, Newbridge, Tarnagulla, Boort, Pyramid Hill and other surrounding district centres. These townships provide the basis of for a diverse range of communities.

The Shire is within the area that forms part of the Central Victorian Goldfields and contains the area largely recognised as Victoria’s ‘Golden Triangle’. The towns within the southern portion of the Shire are steeped in 150 years of gold rush history and have strong cultural and heritage links, with the goldfields influencing wealth and prosperity along with hardship and pioneering traditions.

The rural character of the Shire continues to diversify from the traditional grains and sheep to more intensive forms of agriculture and horticulture - including dairy farming, wine grapes, tomato growing, oil seeds, pulses, olives and fodder crops. These developments are largely influenced by the economic need for higher value products - particularly in the irrigated areas in the north of the Shire and along the Loddon River.

HAEUSLER'S GROUP

1739200_1_M.jpg

In 1959, Colin and Joan Haeusler, operating as CE & JM Haeusler, began a general cartage and grain handling business in Sea Lake, which is situated within a large broad-acre farming region in North Western Victoria.   They became agents, for Chamberlain Tractors and Implements in 1961 after acquiring the agency from Brewers Motors of Sea Lake. After much hard work by Colin, C E & J M Haeusler, were named Victoria's Top Chamberlain Dealers for 1967. After the merger of Chamberlain with John Deere in 1970, Haeusler's Farm Supplies Pty. Ltd was appointed as the Official John Deere Dealer for Sea Lake. The Company expanded its operations over the years to include CRT chemical and farm supplies, hardware and electrical business, fertilizer, freight transport, grain handling and a petrol outlet. Haeusler's Farm Supplies managed to grow and prosper in that time, through hard work, good business acumen and top level customer focused service.

In 1993 the Company expanded it's John Deere operations by obtaining the Mildura Dealership, thus exposing it to a different industry sector, that of viticulture. Having outgrown the original premises in Sea Lake, a new building was erected to accommodate the expanding business. With the growth of the Mildura dealership a new premises was also built there in 1999.The Company decided that to continue to prosper in the farm machinery industry, it must become larger and obtain further dealerships.

The acquisition of our Shepparton Dealership in 2001 can be seen as an important move to include another industry sector within the Company. A market for smaller equipment, and a need for service base in the Robinvale area soon became apparent, and to help better serve our customer base, in 2002 Haeusler’s established a brand new branch at Robinvale.

Late in 2007 Haeusler’s embarked on its latest expansion by purchasing a dealership in Echuca, and to amalgamate the growth of the business, the company was re-structured and re-branded as Haeusler’s Group, and 2014 saw the establishment of the Bendigo dealership. Our combined service area across North-West Victoria and Southern New South Wales is over 10,000 Square Kilometres, covering 40% of Victoria alone.Today, the Haeusler's Group is a family owned company with almost 150 employees. With the death of the Managing Director Colin Haeusler in 1999, his three children are directing the company - Martin, Margaret and Lawrence have formed the nucleus of the management of the Company over several years alongside their parents and today continue in the same Haeusler tradition.

DONALD AND ST. ARNAUD UNITING CHURCH

TOOLEYBUC SPORTING CLUB

The formulation of the idea for a Sporting Club was borne from the minds of two district gentlemen whom had just returned from a holiday in Tamworth during 1967.

The two gentlemen were so impressed with the facilities offered to members and visitors the Tamworth Workers Club that they decided to float the idea through the Tooleybuc district upon their return. Consequently a sub-committee was formed in 1968, with the aim of obtaining licenses and finance. The club, after some time incubating, was eventually opened on the 6th of April 1978.

From such a beginning and with such a small immediate residential population the club grown to its current size. It now boasts two Tiff Dwarf Bowling greens, a nine-hole (twin tee, grassed greens) golf course nestled along the banks of the Murray River, an all weather tennis court and an eighteen hole mini-golf complex.

In addition to these attractions on the club owned land, the Tooleybuc Sporting Club also helps in the maintenance of Tooleybuc’s recreation reserve complex. This consists of two ovals (one turf cricket wicket table), and ten turf tennis courts, and these community facilities are generally considered to be without peer in the region.

The Tooleybuc Sporting Club has also been the major single point of employment for local residents for some twenty-five years. It operates the obligatory bar, function areas and gaming lounge, but also maintains the catering facilities. It currently employs over people, including three apprentices.

The Tooleybuc Sporting Club essentially acts as the ‘barometer’ of its’ hinterland. It is inextricably linked to the fortunes of the local region, suffering sympathetically in times of drought and hardship, and promoting the enjoyment of good times when they again roll around.
